他们的招牌是真假音和声，以及一首首经典歌曲。Bee Gees的团名取自Barry Gibb的起首字母，由三个骨肉相连的亲兄弟于英国曼彻斯特组成，青少年时便曾登台演出。1958年全家移民澳大利亚，1963年发行的首支单曲Three Kisses Of Love小获成功，但到1966年已成为澳大利亚顶尖的合唱团。1967年回到英国发展，鼓手Colin Petersen和吉他手Vince Melouney加入，凭借一曲Specks And Spicks在澳大利亚夺得排行榜冠军，此后一炮走红。1969年乐团曾一度解散，直到1970年后期又重组，次年发行的单曲Lonely Days和How Can You Mend A Broken Heart在美国创下200万张的成绩，但随后歌唱事业陷入低潮。直到上世纪70年代中期的Disco热潮，方再创他们的事业高峰，并使他们成为全球超级巨星
